Elevate special-occasion sewing with the refined glow of Victoria Lilac Polyester Taffeta. This crisp yet smooth fabric delivers a graceful, lightweight hand with a subtle swish as it moves. The saturated lilac color creates a romantic, elegant look that holds pleats, ruffles, and dramatic silhouettes beautifully. With minimal sheen and a stable handle, this taffeta is ideal when you want structured volume and pristine shape retention without a heavy feel.

Features & Benefits

  • Content: 100% Polyester for durability, easy care, and consistent quality
  • Weight: Lightweight with a crisp hand—excellent for sculpted gowns and full skirts
  • Finish: Minimal sheen and smooth touch for a polished, elegant appearance
  • Width: Approximately 58–59" usable width to accommodate wide panels and full skirts
  • Stability: Non-stretch, stable weave that holds shape, pleats, ruching, and tucks
  • Color: Victoria Lilac solid with rich saturation and good color fastness
  • Sound: Characteristic soft “swish”/rustle that enhances formalwear presence
  • Ease of Use: Cuts cleanly; for best results use a sharp/microtex needle and fine thread
  • Sold By The Yard: Minimum order 1 yard; ideal for precise project planning

Recommended Uses

  • Formalwear: Ball gowns, evening dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and pageant wear
  • Skirts & Dresses: A-line skirts, circle skirts, pleated styles, and structured bodices
  • Costume Design: Historical gowns, period costumes, cosplay, and theatrical garments
  • Event & Decor: Table runners, chair sashes, backdrops, drapery panels, and photo booth accents
  • Accessories: Bows, belts, sashes, headpieces, and decorative trims

Sewing Tips: Use a new sharp/microtex needle (70/10–80/12), fine polyester thread, and a press cloth with low heat and light steam. Finish raw edges (serge or zigzag) to minimize fray. Test stitches and pressing on a scrap first.

Care: For best longevity and to preserve structure, dry clean finished garments. If washing is preferred, hand wash cold or machine wash on gentle in a mesh bag; hang or lay flat to dry. Cool iron on reverse with a press cloth only as needed. Avoid high heat.

Notes: Color may appear darker when the fabric is gathered and lighter when laid flat. Colors may vary due to lighting and individual screen settings. Fabric may arrive with wrinkles, may include natural manufacturing imperfections, and may not be cut perfectly straight. Sold by whole yards.

NOTE: This item is non-returnable and Product images are taken under professional studio lighting, so actual fabric color may slightly vary due to lighting, camera settings, or screen displays. Please review the product details carefully before placing your order. We strive for accuracy and appreciate your understanding.
