Taking a heaping of the crisp, grainy facing in hand, one notices the reverse side offers a crisp, sort-of rough-ish texture that makes the front surface feel smoother in comparison. Although equipped with about 10% stretch crosswise and about 35% in the straight-grain, the overall stiff body discourages a billowy feel, preferring sculptured silhouettes over those draped. Cut garments on the bias to encourage an easier drape or go for body-hugging designs to emphasize and celebrate natural curves. For the office, semi-formal, and casual occasions alike, this fabulous blend grants a very versatile medium for any designer. Think oversized jackets or long blazers, peplum ensembles, tight-fitted dresses or skirts, and more. Of a heavier medium weight, the white composition is, nevertheless, translucent, so most applications will need lining. Or, as an alternative, consider doubling up on the fabric for opacity.
