Delivering a full body—courtesy of its stiff drape—this medium-weight brocade features a crisp hand along with a story-telling quality. Enveloped in a rose-filled garden, pronounced, iridescent skulls, defined by poofy patches of saffron, metallic threads, lay juxtaposed with big, matte-black eyes—all the while against a deep, twilight blue backdrop. Brocade fabrics are woven with metallic threads and dyed-yarns on a special Jacquard loom that enables threads to move independently; and, therefore, creating an all-around sheen emphasizing the physical depth with which these raised designs exist. Best for dressier occasions, design silhouettes like ball gowns, hula-hoop skirts, boxy jackets, and more. Opaque, though, incorporating a lining fabric will help avoid the potential of fibers unraveling at the seams. We suggest a radiant twill lining for extra durability and added structure.
