A perfect addition to any eco-conscious sewing studio, Mood now presents the Basic Shades 100% Recycled Polyester Thread Set manufactured by trusted thread brand Gutermann. As a leader in ecological innovation, Gutermann was the first major thread brand to create recycled sewing threads over 10 years ago. Plastic bottles made of PET (polyethylenterephtalate) are washed, shredded and melted to create the quality 100% polyester fibers Gutermann is known for. Even when you run out of thread, the spools are designed to be recycled with your regular household recycling.

Using German-engineered Micro Core Technology ®, these eco-friendly threads are ideal for both fashion and craft sewing. We suggest using for a wide range of seams, including fine decorative stitching, backstitching and closures, hand, and machine stitching. This particular kit features 10 spools of basic shades, ideal for a vast array of projects, as well as repairing clothing.

Note that these threads work best when paired with size NM 70-90 (US Size 10-14) needles. When machine sewing, make sure to review your machine's manual to ensure best use of both needles and thread. Feel free to recycle the packaging as well, as it is made from 100% recycled paper and 80% recycled foil.
