Plastic bottles made of PET (polyethylenterephtalate) are washed, shredded and melted to create the quality 100% polyester fibers Gutermann is known for. Even when you run out of thread, the spools are designed to be recycled with your regular household recycling.

Using German-engineered Micro Core Technology ®, these eco-friendly threads are ideal for both fashion and craft sewing. We suggest using for a wide range of seams, including fine decorative stitching, backstitching and closures, hand, and machine stitching. This particular kit features 10 spools of pastel shades, ideal for any sewist looking to try out the pastel trend for themselves.

Note that these threads work best when paired with size NM 70-90 (US Size 10-14) needles. When machine sewing, make sure to review your machine's manual to ensure best use of both needles and thread. Feel free to recycle the packaging as well, as it is made from 100% recycled paper and 80% recycled foil.
