Application instructions recommend a clean, freshly laundered garment, including new items. Set the iron to the "COTTON" setting at 400 degrees and allow it to fully heat for five minutes. Thoroughly iron the area where the patch will be placed. Position the patch with the embroidery facing up, cover it with a cotton cloth or light towel, and press firmly in a slow circular motion for 30 seconds.
