This kit features clear plastic square acrylic discs in 6", 8", and 10" sizes, each 1/4" thick with center holes. Designed to help you create smooth edges on cake tiers, one disc is placed on top and another underneath the cake. The center holes assist in centering tiers accurately using a temporary dowel during icing. If cakes are not chilled before icing, a dowel through the discs and cake is advised to prevent shifting.
Measure your finished cakes and cake pans before ordering to ensure the correct size. The .5" sizing is recommended for cakes that shrink less than 1/8" and are iced with buttercream only. Select the size based on the desired amount of buttercream or ganache on the cake sides for a flawless finish.
