This belt for the Acme 88-4 Dough Sheeter is crafted from a natural-colored PVC compound with 2 plies and a polyester/cotton fabric carcass. Both the cover and bottom surfaces are bare fabric, providing a coefficient of friction of 0.20 on steel. It has a working strength of 46 lbs. at 1% elongation and an overall gauge of 0.071 inches. The belt weighs 0.37 lbs per square foot and is food approved, suitable for temperatures ranging from 14 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit.
The cotton fabric absorbs moisture and offers limited oil and grease resistance, requiring only half the dusting flour compared to all cotton belts on dough conveyors. It features interchangeable surfaces and is compatible with various Acme conveyor belt sizes. The recommended splice is split finger, with clipper lace #36SP and alligator lace #1A. The maximum width is 78.7 inches, and the minimum pulley is a normal 180° with 1.75 inches back flex.
