The Vollum Brotform Oval Proofing Basket with Linen measures 10" by 7" and is designed for a 1 lb loaf or 2 to 3 cups of flour. Made of natural cane and handwoven using a century-old tradition, this basket includes a natural linen liner to help maintain dough moisture during the final rise. Simply flour the basket before use and transfer the risen loaf onto a baking sheet for baking.
After use, excess flour can be brushed off and the basket hung to dry. The linen liner should be hand washed in cool water only and never machine washed. This oval-shaped banneton is not oven safe but offers a traditional and effective proofing solution for artisan bread makers.
