This Queensland Blue squash features dark blue-green ribbed fruits weighing 8 to 10 pounds each. Its pumpkin-like appearance is complemented by very thick, orange, meaty flesh that offers a sweet flavor ideal for cooking. The squash is suitable for fall decoration and culinary use alike.
After harvest, these fruits store well in coolers or root cellars, making them a great choice for winter consumption. Although organic seeds are no longer available due to supplier discontinuation, untreated seeds are recommended as a substitute for planting this variety.
