Thunderstruck F1 is an Eastern melon variety prized for its outstanding flavor and texture. The fruit typically weighs between 5 to 7 pounds and offers exceptional sweetness with a 13% Brix level. This melon exhibits a full color change and slips easily at maturity, signaling peak ripeness.
This variety also boasts intermediate resistance to Fusarium wilt races 0, 1, and 2, as well as Powdery Mildew races 1 and 2. Its ability to store longer post-harvest than other Eastern types makes it ideal for extended enjoyment after picking, maintaining freshness and quality.
