This 12-inch vent is designed for high tunnels and greenhouses to provide supplemental ventilation and prevent overheating during extremely hot conditions. Constructed with a rigid aluminum frame and shutters, it can be installed in the roof or end wall to improve airflow. The vent opening measures 12 1/2 inches square, with total dimensions of 15 by 15 by 3 inches, and installs easily using included wiggle wire and channel locking.
The vent features two types of openers: a manual hand pull wire and an automatic temperature opener adjustable between 60° and 77° F. This automatic feature ensures optimal ventilation when temperatures rise, acting as an insurance policy if main vents cannot be opened. It is a practical solution for maintaining ideal growing conditions in high tunnels and greenhouses.
