Donna Red F1 is a cherry tomato variety with a trailing habit, making it perfect for hanging baskets and containers sized 8 to 10 inches. The plants spread about 18 inches and benefit from pinching above the first three leaves to encourage branching and increase yields. The bright red fruits are small, measuring 1 to 1¼ inches in diameter and weighing approximately 0.6 ounces each.
These sweet cherry tomatoes have a high sugar content of 8% Brix, delivering excellent flavor. Donna Red F1 also offers intermediate resistance to Alternaria leaf spot (Al) and Early Blight (EB), providing gardeners with a flavorful and resilient tomato option for container gardening and decorative displays.
