This plum flavoring oil is a potent ingredient designed for use in icings, hard candies, jams, and jellies. It is water-soluble and can be added during the cooling process of jams and jellies to enhance their fruity taste. The flavoring is known for its strength, being three to four times more concentrated than typical water or alcohol-based flavorings.
Certified kosher, gluten-free, and sugar-free, this flavoring oil contains artificial flavor and approved additives such as propylene glycol and triacetin. When substituting for extracts, use between a quarter to half a teaspoon for every teaspoon of extract called for in recipes. It is approved by the FDA for safe use in food products.
