This 22 lb. bulk bag of Lotus Foods medium grain Forbidden Rice® is grown in the sub-arctic Black Dragon River region of northeast China using sustainable More Crop Per Drop farming practices. This heirloom rice variety cooks to a soft texture with a deep purple color and a roasted, nutty flavor.
Known as longevity rice and historically reserved for Chinese emperors, this rice is rich in antioxidants, protein, magnesium, and fiber. It is free from additives and many common allergens, providing approximately 211 servings per bag, suitable for high-volume kitchens.
