This Briess crushed caramel malt 20L is crafted from quality North American 2-row malting barley that is carefully selected, germinated, kilned, and drum roasted. It delivers a sweet caramel flavor with mild notes and imparts a golden color with an SRM of 20 to finished beers. The malt features 6% moisture and a 76% extract yield on grind, making it suitable for brewing styles such as Pilsners, California common, Vienna, bock lagers, and a range of ales including pale ales, porters, and stouts.
Pre-milled for immediate use, this malt enhances mouthfeel and foam retention. It is packaged in a 50 lb. bulk bag and is kosher certified. For optimal preservation, storage in a low-humidity environment below 90 degrees Fahrenheit is recommended.
