Application instructions recommend a clean, freshly laundered garment, including new items. Set an iron to the "COTTON" setting at 400 degrees and allow it to heat for five minutes. Iron the garment area where the patch will be applied thoroughly. Place the patch with the embroidery facing up, cover with a cotton cloth or light towel, and press firmly in a slow circular motion for 30 seconds. Turn the garment inside out and iron the back of the patch for 30 seconds. Let cool for one minute. If edges lift, repeat the process.
